I have been involved with and responsible for planning, procurement and offshore supervision on offshore projects including marine procedure writing and review. Heavy lift & project cargo load out specialist, jackets, modules etc. Marine Standards and Offshore Project Specialist in the Marine Ops Department of a Middle East based Oil Company, responsible for the day to day operation, supervision, auditing and inspection of all chartered vessels and barges (approx 25 units) which include, MODU’s , DP, Dive Support, Pipe lay, cable lay, Heavy lift, AHTS, Supply, Utility and Crew vessels. Responsible for all marine activities offshore and the implementation and application of all QA and HSE polices Additionally responsible for specifying and assessing new build plans, technical evaluation of bids, monitoring of contractors’ performance, specifying and inspecting additional project marine spread e.g. Jack-ups, accommodation, pipe lay, heavy lift barges and vessels etc. Responsible for SBM integrity, hoses, SBM maintenance & replacement, Pilotage training & supervision and support vessel personnel selection. I am a Marine Auditor (IMCA), Dynamic Positioning Auditor (DP cert 0073 – 1988), Warranty Surveyor, Flag state and P&I surveyor, Cargo Surveyor and client’s marine rep’ with experience in UKCS, Irish Sea, North Sea, Egypt, Arabian Gulf, India and Asia. I have conducted many IMCA, UKOOA inspections, suitability surveys, pre-charter, pre-registration, pre-entry and in-service inspections on all types of vessels and offshore units (see attached sheets) and have conducted numerous QA and HSE audits, DP trials, FMEA and DP incident investigations. A member of The British Association of Cargo Surveyors (BACS) a cargo surveyor and superintendent, with 20 years surveying experience representing ship owners, underwriters and P&I clubs throughout the UK and worldwide. I have been involved in all dry cargo, container, reefer, hull and machinery, personal injury, pollution and damage claims. Heavy list and project cargo specialist, warranty surveyor on offshore projects (see attached project list). I am an approved Nautical Inspector & Casualty and Accident Investigator to six Maritime Authorities; Bahamas, Malta, Barbados, Belize, Vanuatu and Panama Flags . I carry out Statutory and Annual Nautical Inspections on a variety of vessels specializing in passenger, cruise, ferries, fast craft, offshore vessel. I regularly attend and inspect major passenger vessels, interfacing with management, on board staff and passengers.
